This custom home, with its circular walls, created special challenges for interior designers. Contents Interiors’ design team, Tamara Scott-Anderson, ASID, and Sara Smith, Allied ASID, worked with the homeowners, as well as architect Kevin B. Howard and custom homebuilder Taos Construction on the 3,500-square-foot home. The owners wanted a contemporary casa that utilized natural textures and the hues of the desert Southwest. The interior design duo selected surface finishes and color palettes, along with designing cabinetry and furniture. Typically, Contents Interiors’ designers provide toscale, colorized floor plans of each room. Clients then are able to visualize how the furnishings will fit and how the color scheme will flow in their home before they make their final purchases. This essential step was very important in this particular project, where the unique floor plan, with its many curved walls, posed special challenges for furniture selection and placement. Shown above are the living room, dining room and wet bar portions of the home’s layout. HG Sources: Contents Interiors, www.contentsinteriors.com Architect: Kevin B.
