LMTA kicked off its fall Board of Directors meeting week with a relaxed networking mixer on October 14 at Huckleberry Brewing Company in Alexandria, Louisiana. The event brought together longtime LMTA members, association leadership and the 2026 Future Leaders Class for an informal evening of conversation and connection.
The casual brewery setting offered a welcome break before the next day’s Board meeting, giving attendees the chance to reconnect with colleagues, meet new participants in the Future Leaders program and discuss industry topics in a low-pressure environment. For our Future Leaders, it served as a meaningful opportunity to interact with experienced professionals and gain insight into the broader LMTA community.
Throughout the evening, attendees shared ideas, compared experiences, and talked about the challenges and opportunities shaping Louisiana’s trucking industry. The mixer provided a valuable space for cross-generational engagement, strengthening relationships and reinforcing LMTA’s commitment to developing and supporting emerging leaders.
By the end of the night, members left with new connections, stronger networks and positive momentum heading into the fall Board of Directors meeting the following day. Events like this continue to play an important role in fostering a connected and collaborative membership.
