Harold Joe Waldrum: Las Sombras, through Sept. 29 Travelogue: Grand Destinations and Personal Journeys, through Sept. 29

The Museum’s collection includes exhibits of American Art, Art of the American West, Contemporary Art, Folk Art of the Americas, Pre-Columbian and Spanish Colonial, Latin American Art and Modern Art.

Tucson Botanical Gardens

Exhibit:

Quilts in the Gardens, through Sept. 29.

In partnership with Quilts for a Cause, the Gardens is exhibiting nature-themed quilts in Porter Hall and Friends House Gallery. Quilts also will be for sale in the Gardens’ Gift Shop. Quilts for a Cause auctions and sells handmade quilts and quilt patterns donated by quilters to support breast and gynecological cancer research.

Raised Bed Gardening, Aug. 6, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.; $15; $12 members

Agaves: Living Sculptures for Landscapes and Containers, Aug. 23, 10-11:30 a.m.; $15; $12 members General admission: $15 adults; $13 Student/Senior/ Military; $8 for those 4-17; 3 and under are free. Pima County Cooperative Extension

Creative Summer Salads Hands-on Cooking Class, Aug. 10, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Knife Skills Hands-On Cooking Class, Aug. 17, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

The Garden Kitchen is a nutrition education program established in partnership with the City of South Tucson, Pima County, the University of Arizona and the Pima County Cooperative Extension. The program offers seedto- table gardening and cooking education, from growing and purchasing to preparing and storing. Pima County Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners

Tours of the Demonstration Gardens: every Wednesday and Saturday of each month, except in January, near major holidays or in bad weather. Tours run 9-10 a.m., 4210 N.
