An elegant tea party in a country club setting was the theme of this bridal shower. Theme: Spring tea party Color Scheme: Spring green with touches of black and white. Menu: The luncheon started with an appetizer of sliced grapefruit, orange, mango and avocado drizzled with a balsamic reduction. This was followed by a potato tart topped with cilantro pesto served with tomato chips topped with flaked crab. The dessert table was the focal point of the room, brimming with glass cloches filled with towers of tea cups, flowers and tempting custom mini cakes, cake pops and mini cookies. Favors: Mini tin pails tucked with black and white checked tissue were filled with herb plants. Décor: Some tables were topped with exquisite linens in shimmering spring green and others had a whimsical black-and-white polka dot pattern. Centerpieces included white ceramic tea pots filled with herbs, ferns, dusty miller, hydrangea, spray roses and anemones. Delicate crocheted doilies added texture to each vignette. A sprig of fragrant rosemary was placed at each table setting. The rosemary plant symbolizes remembrance and often is associated with weddings.
