ABC members are a vital part of our legislative efforts to be the voice of the construction industry and further the merit shop philosophy. While ABC staff members work hard to promote legislation that is beneficial for the merit shop and the construction industry, we are most effective only when you are involved.
As business and industry leaders, members serve as a valuable source of information for their representatives. As voters and constituents, representatives are very interested in what members have to say. Use your knowledge and experience to promote grassroots activity, especially among other ABC members and your employees.
Don’t know where to get started? The ABC Action Center provides how-to information on forming and maintaining relationships with your legislators, as well as advice on effective communication and tips on generating local grassroots activity.
Find current legislative topics and more information on how you can be involved by visiting www.abc-alabama.org/government-affairs/legislative-briefings.
