12 Lifelong-Learning Standards The Division developed 12 Lifelong-Learning Standards through which we set rigorous expectations for how students learn, analyze information, and communicate. These standards lead to increased student engagement, content mastery, and higher-order thinking. Students who attain these standards will be equipped with a foundation for lifelong inquiry and learning. In addition to high levels of achievement as measured by state assessments, students demonstrate their depth of understanding through locally-developed benchmark performance assessments within the context of each academic discipline.
