Stephanie Giller, H.BSc. Research Associate Division of Urology Stephanie is a new addition to the Stream Team. She graduated with honours from the University of Guelph, and recently completed the Clinical Trials Management program at the University of Western Ontario. Stephanie now plays an important role as a Research Coordinator with the Urology Clinical Research Unit and the Prostate Cancer Centre. Stephanie lives in a small town outside of London with her boyfriend, Josh and their cat Scrambles. Which artists are currently on your mp3 player? Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, and Something Corporate. What non-medical book are you currently reading? “Einstein – His Life and Universe” by Walter Isaacson What was the best job you had as a kid? What was the worst? Best Job: I spent a summer driving the beverage cart at a local golf club. Worst Job: I worked at a salad dressing plant. My job was pitting olives by hand. What is your idea of a perfect holiday? I would love to take a family trip to the east coast. We would visit relatives and stay in a cottage on the oceanfront in Nova Scotia. Who in the world do you most admire? My brother. The number of people he touched in his short life is humbling. Even in his passing he continues to see me through life’s toughest lessons. If you weren’t in research what would you be doing? I would have my own art studio and spend summers studying art history in Europe. What are your hidden talents? I’m somewhat of an artist. I like any excuse to be creative. What qualities do you most admire in other people? I admire people who are friendly, honest and have a good sense of humour. What is your all-time favourite movie? I have two: “The Shawshank Redemption” and “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.” What do you do to keep fit? I do yoga and go to the gym. for dad.
