Welcome to OT Live! We’ve got a confession to make. It’s a true story that tells of the amazing reality that the mighty and perfect God wants to be close to people who are neither mighty nor perfect. All of the other stories we love are based on this true story. It’s the true story of God’s intense love, of a villain’s treachery, and of a lover’s betrayal. It’s the true story of God’s dangerous and passionate fight to rescue His captive people from a deadly curse and a heartless enemy. It’s the true story of God’s great pursuit of His people, how He stayed faithful to them even when they turned away from Him. It’s the true story of how God, through generations of people, was masterfully orchestrating events to set the stage for the greatest rescue of all time. While the Old Testament tells the story of human history, this story is also your story. The same good God who has fought for people’s hearts since the dawn of time is also fighting for yours. God loves you—deeply. And the God of the universe has given you an amazing invitation: to enter into a relationship with Him as His friend. God wants you to live in His love, to be secure in it, to let it be the theme and foundation of your life. He wants you to go on the amazing journey of getting to know Him and going through life with Him as your closest Friend. Over the next little while, we’ll journey together through the Old Testament and this great true story. Here’s what you can expect: 1.
