Formula 4 Media, Karnan Associates to Host Specialty Run Workshop Next Month Keeping Specialty Special is the Theme for Two-Day Session F ormula 4 Media, producers of the Running Event, and Karnan Associates will be hosting a two-day in-depth workshop for running stores August 23-24th at the Residence Inn Bethesda Hotel in Bethesda, MD. Additionally, August 25th is a bonus day for six retailers. Karnan Associates will be hosting 90 minute One-on-One meetings for the first six stores who register for the event and sign up for an appointment. “Keeping Specialty Special” will be the theme of the workshop which has been designed to help running stores prepare for growth, deal with competition and strengthen their businesses for the future. “The running channel is primed to become a $1 billion channel by the end of 2013,” said Parker Karnan, president of Karnan Associates, a frequent speaker at the Running Event, who has consulted with dozens of run specialty stores over the past few years. “This workshop will help stores prepare for that growth and for the changing land-scape in the running business. Predators are coming in to get a piece of the action. Customers have more choice than ever. Running Specialty is no longer a low profile channel in the industry.
