Group Credit Card Processing Service. The SDA has entered into a partnership with First National Merchant Solutions and a special group rate has been negotiated for its dealer members. 2. Payroll Services. Paychex, Inc., a leader in the payroll and human resource industry, has been named as an official vendor of the SDA, allowing dealer members to save significantly on payroll packages. 3. Continuing Education. SDA has signed Franco Zizzo, of the Mann Group, as the first featured Educator in its Dealer Education Program. Zizzo, a well-known retail trainer who educates and trains dealers in the outdoor, running and other sport retail markets, was a featured speaker at The Soccer Event, organized by Formula 4 Media and sponsored by Major League Soccer, in Seattle last November. “We are honored to have Franco as our first educator and to be able to offer another benefit for dealers joining the SDA.” says Hayden. Zizzo will begin by providing training articles on the SDA Web site and will present the first on-line training event later this spring. he Soccer Dealer Association was born out of scussions with key members of soccer industry attending The Soccer Event last fall. Its mission is to unite the independent soccer dealers in North America into a cohesive community to share best practices, build stronger business relationships and provide both resources and education for members to run their businesses more effectively and profitably. “There has been a void in the soccer retailing community and the SDA is an opportunity to organize soccer specialty retailers into an association that will benefit all areas of the business,” says industry veteran Hayden, who is serving as executive director of the association. ”The SDA will serve as the place for dealers to come together as a community – using Web-based and social media technologies – with the goal of building a better, more efficient business model.” Founding members of the SDA Board of Directors are Bill Graham (Soccer American), David Brcic (Soccer Master) and Mike Fitzgerald (Off the Wall Soccer). n For more information on the SDA and the benefit for dealers and associates, contact Hayden at info@soccerdealerassociation.org or to join at www.soccerdealerassociation.org SOCCER INSIGHT® © 2010 Formula4Media, LLC .
