GENERAL INFORMATION The activities in this section are designed specifically for persons with special needs. Participants are accommodated through additional and specially trained staff, adapted equipment, and/or modifications to rules and objectives. SPRING FLING AGES ALL • ONE 2 ½ HOUR SESSION $10 TRANSPORTATION The Parks & Recreation Dept. provides limited transportation to Special Olympics activities for persons with special needs residing in the city. Contact the Olathe Parks & Recreation at 913-971-8563 for more information and/or to request transportation. Let’s celebrate the fact that spring has sprung! We’ll have a DJ, dinner, prizes and surprises! Swing by the American Legion in Olathe for a fun evening with your friends from the metro! Fri Join us for bowling, fun & friends at the Mission Bowl ‘N Olathe through March 27, then join us starting April 3 at our new location, Olathe Lanes East (303 N Lindenwood Drive, Olathe) Purchase your punch card from the Olathe Parks and Recreation Office. Present your card to the supervisor at bowling, get it punched, and “let it roll”. Bowling runs from 3:45 pm until 5:00 pm on most Thursdays. Step into the role of a detective and discover how forensic science plays a central role in solving crimes. Create and analyze fingerprints, examine dental records, make teeth impressions and discover how written materials can be analyzed to help solve a crime.
