I also knew the college was ready to embrace new challenges. I’m pleased to report there are many innovative and exciting new projects and activities underway that meet our three-pronged mission of teaching, research and outreach. The college has embarked upon a comprehensive strategic planning process and has begun to implement continuous quality improvement initiatives through the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program and the Excellence in Missouri Foundation. New programs include Mizzou K–12 Online, Personal Transformational Pathways, an online master’s degree in positive coaching (the first of its kind in the nation), and a Network for Educator Effectiveness, to name just a few. This time of revitalization is just beginning. I hope you will join me in supporting the college and its many endeavors to improve teaching, research and outreach. Go Tigers! Daniel L.
