It has an unbeatable combination of beautiful scenery, great roads, excellent campgrounds, cool nights for sleeping, neat country stores, and a wide variety of things to see and do. It is picturesque and quaint, but not in a touristy way. You’ll swim in clear mountain lakes and lazy farm ponds, rushing waterfalls and gurgling forest brooks, in pools under covered bridges and in old-fashioned swimming holes. If you like to bike you will absolutely love Vermont. Your group will ride on a quiet, tree lined country lane and on a winding road that follows a babbling brook in a deep, green mountain valley. You’ll bike on back roads through beautiful pastoral valleys, past red barns and green fields with black and white cows hanging over the fences peacefully chewing their cuds. Your group will cycle on meandering byways alongside pastures with grazing Morgan horses, and through pretty villages. And the places to picnic! You’ll picnic under covered bridges, in fancy gazebos on village greens, and on the shores of sparkling lakes. 4
