In addition to the largest screen, best possible sound, and seating for at least 18, this hom-eowner wanted to be able to watch multiple games on the screen at once. To satisfy the latter, electronic systems contractor Audio Video Interiors specified a multi-window video processor, which provides the ability to view multiple configurations of up to eight separate video sources. This processor also comes with an annotation feature that allows the homeowner to illustrate over video—one of those wow factors that truly impress family and friends. Audio Video Interiors had a few parameters to play with when it came to room size and layout. Behind the back wall of the theater is a concession area and the equipment/projection room. Behind the front wall is a studio apartment. Unfortunately, the company had minimum requirements for each of these spaces that contended with proper room dimensions for the theater to minimize coincidental modes and poor modal spacing. They also had to accommodate a door to the studio apartment, elimi-nating the use of subwoofers or bass traps in an otherwise opportune area of the room. The skewed triangular sections of the ceiling at different heights with exposed steel beams and recessed can light-ing also made it very difficult to lay out the star-field ceiling panels. Audio Video Interiors overcame all the obstacles, however, while creating a truly unique home-entertainment environment.
