Mother Nature is a Prescription for Success in Any Economy HEALTHY Sports & Energy Drink T he Nutritional Healing Center of Ann Arbor is expanding. For nearly a decade, Dr. Darren Schmidt has been using whole food nutrition to help people handle fatigue, hormone imbalances, pain and improve overall health. In 2006 he was joined by Dr. Shannon Roznay and for the last five years they have shared their mission of creat-ing a community of healthy people with thousands of patients in the Ann Arbor area. In fact, their “Healthcare the way Mother Nature intended” philosophy is so suc-cessful they’re on the hunt for a bigger location and are adding new staff. Recently the center brought on three new practitioners—a third Doctor of Chiropractic, a Doctor of Pharmacy and a Nutrition and Food Science specialist to be able to care for the health needs of our community. Dr. Lisa D’ Eramo, Dr. Amanda Childress and Kerry Cradit are all certified in Nutrition Response Testing which they use to find the underlying causes of health challenges. Then, through a comprehensive program of dietary changes and whole food supplements patients report being pain free, having restored vitality and better overall health—completely without drugs or medication. The Center will be holding their annual Fall Open House on Saturday, November 12th from noon to 3 p.m. One of the highlights of the open house is a local vendor showcase featuring other Ann Arbor holistic vendors, local farmers, artisans and shops. Among the many vendors NHCAA is hosting this fall will be The Movement Center, Old Pine Farm, Ann Arbor Thermography and The Weston A. Price Foundation. Free nutri-tional health screenings will also be available to attendees. According to Dr. Schmidt, supporting local businesses and helping them expand benefits to everyone and helps create a truly healthy and prosperous community.
