Hail to the Chef! IN OUR MARCH 2011 ISSUE, we offered readers the opportunity to win a dinner for six, prepared by one of three personal chefs we profiled. Hundreds of votes were received online, and the winning chef is Mike Neylan of Party Time Personal Chef Services. He will prepare dinner for Kristin Lynch, whose name was selected among the online votes. Here, Neylan shops at 17th Street Market for the fresh ingredients he’ll use for the dinner. Our rules speci-fied that one of Neylan’s menu items must include a unique local ingredient — mesquite flour. 17th Street Market is a premier location for orga-nic produce of all types, specialty and import foods, and goods as wide-ranging as kimonos and guitars. A recently opened grill in front of the market offers fish tacos, banh mi, a classic American burger and more. TL Photo by Kris Hanning 98 TUCSON LIFESTYLE | JUNE 2011 www.tucsonlifestyle.com
