When it comes to interior design, theaters can tend to look a little boxy. This particular homeowner had experienced many theaters, and although he appreciated the performance of those systems, he wanted something that looked a little more fluid—a sort of upscale lounge aesthetic. Not only did the room need to RETROFIT HOmE look great, it also had to perform like a champ with a large screen and seating for eight. Due to the size of the screen compared to the wide viewing area, Audio Video Interiors had to select screen material carefully. Additionally, the desired screen size left little space for the front n speaker system. Audio Video Interiors used Stewart Filmscreen’s Microperf screen solution, which allowed them to place all three front speakers and two subwoofers behind it. “The speaker place-Client Inter views 20 ment worked well with the modal analysis of the room,” says Audio Video Interiors.
