The judges for the contest were Kendra Joe, presi-dent of the University of Arizona Black Retail Action Group; Kristina Amaya, a local retailer; and Paula Taylor, former owner of Pour Moi Boutique and one of this year’s Cele Peterson Award winners. Themes included “Faith,” “Hope” and “Charity,” as well as “HIV and AIDS Awareness.” The win-ning designers and their creations will be featured as part of the Möda Prov o ˘ cate ur ¯ fundraiser. The event, which benefits the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF), also spotlights the talents of salons, including Avalon for Hair, Skin & Nails; Ahead of Style; Aveda Institute of Tucson; Jewel Salon; Mia Bella; and Style 7. The title sponsor for Möda Prov o ˘ cate ur ¯ is the Udall Law Firm, the title media sponsor is Tucson Lifestyle and additional media sponsors are AdVision Outdoors, The Desert Leaf and N Touch Magazine .
